Jacksonville Electric Authority (JEA) and City of Tallahasse electric utilities earned the “Sunriser” designation, being among the top 7 utilities with the highest forecast solar watts per customer growth in the Southeast Region.
On Tuesday, February 27, 2018, Southern Alliance for Clean Energy (SACE) released their Solar in the Southeast 2017 – highlighting solar data and trends throughout the Southeast, including Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
Their analysis is somewhat unique in that it’s based on a “watts per customer” metric, which looks at the amount of installed solar for each utility relative to the total number of customers served, providing an unbiased standard by which utilities and states can be compared and contrasted.
