A bill that would significantly reduce incentives for solar PV in Florida has been vetoed by Gov. Ron DeSantis. The bill, as approved by the Florida legislature, if enacted into law, would have directed the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) to update solar net metering (NEM) policy to reduce NEM credit for solar PV, in a phase approach, to fully avoided cost by 2029. It also would have allowed the possibility of imposing additional fixed fees for rooftop solar generators.
